Dubai is set to turn one of its most eye-catching installations into something far more meaningful than a visual attraction. A giant chocolate box at Kite Beach will soon serve as an interactive space where residents and visitors can share messages of hope, gratitude, and positivity.
The activation, created by FIX Dessert Chocolatier, invites the public to contribute short written notes that reflect kindness and encouragement. These messages will be submitted digitally through interactive screens placed inside the installation, instantly appearing as part of a live digital display that grows throughout the event.
As the experience evolves, the collected messages will later inspire a special limited-edition packaging design, turning public sentiment into a creative product that reflects the spirit of the community.
The event will run over two days, from May 9 to May 10, between 4 PM and midnight at Kite Beach. During this period, more than 5,000 gift bags will be distributed to attendees. These goodie bags will include products and vouchers from a range of UAE-based brands, adding a reward element to the community-driven experience.
Several homegrown names are participating in the collaboration, including well-known local lifestyle and food brands, creating a wider showcase of Dubai’s growing creative and entrepreneurial scene. The project is also being supported in partnership with Careem, further connecting the initiative to everyday urban life in the city.
Organizers describe the concept as an effort to highlight simple human emotions in a shared public space. The idea focuses on small gestures—short notes, kind words, and expressions of appreciation—that collectively form a larger message of unity.
Kite Beach was selected as the location due to its open, social, and multicultural atmosphere. As one of Dubai’s most active public spaces, it naturally brings together residents, tourists, families, and creatives, making it a fitting environment for a community-focused installation.
Beyond the visual experience, the initiative also places strong emphasis on supporting local businesses. Participating brands will be featured through the giveaway campaign, giving visibility to UAE-based companies and highlighting their role in the country’s cultural and economic landscape.
The messages collected during the event will not remain temporary. Instead, they will be used to design a future product edition, extending the life of the activation beyond the weekend. This upcoming release is expected to be distributed through delivery platforms and airport retail channels, allowing the project’s message to reach a wider audience.
Ultimately, the initiative blends public art, community participation, and local brand support into a single experience. By transforming a simple chocolate box into a platform for shared expression, the project aims to remind people of the impact that small words of kindness can have when brought together on a larger scale.
